TOP 8 Lithuanian Startups to Watch in Autumn 2014

In autumn, some new stars may begin to shine in global startup ecosystem. This year, Enterprise Lithuania, public entity, and community Startup Lithuania are continuing the successful Startup Lithuania Roadshow, which was launched last year. As part of the project, the country’s most promising startups will travel to San Francisco, Tel Aviv, London, Dublin and Helsinki in autumn to look for investments.
After the selection which began in May, the training conducted by local and foreign experts throughout July, and two intermediate team progress evaluations, it has been decided to invite eight of Lithuania’s most promising startups working in fields of medicine, e-commerce, innovative every day and leisure activities to look for investments abroad.
“Last year, the Startup Lithuania Roadshow brought us several success stories. Three startups attracted investment; two were invited to join accelerators operating in London and Tel Aviv, and a few more signed profitable cooperation agreements with partners who they met abroad. This year, we will keep pace in promoting the Lithuanian startup community on a global level,” says Enterprise Lithuania Managing Director, Mantas Nocius.
During the Roadshow, teams will be focused on 1 on 1 meeting with investors and visits to venture capital funds. By participating in technology conferences like DLD Tel Aviv, The Summit in Dublin and Slush in Helsinki, startups will also present their products to thousands of tech savvy people.
These are the TOP 8 Lithuanian startups to watch this autumn:
Inside Warehouse – enabling online publishers to sell content relevant products directly on site
Pipeline Pharma – global pharmaceutical marketplace
Place I Live – location based platform designed to provide ‘smart’ neighbourhood information and rankings in cities
Plate Culture – online marketplace to find and book dinners at local people homes in South East Asia
Rotten Wifi – crowdsourcing project to test and evaluate WiFi and 3G connections worldwide
Cloud Mic (Simple To Act) – mobile audience engagement tools for big audiences
Soundest – e-mail marketing tool for small and medium e-commerce sites
The eighth startup that is joining the delegation is Dragdis – the easiest way to save and manage web content. This team earned a ticket to the Startup Lithuania Roadshow 2014 after winning the LOGIN Startup Pitch Challenge this past April.
Startup Lithuania Roadshow is a bridge to the most startup friendly ecosystems in the world. It is dedicated to investor ready startups, which are looking for seed or venture funding. The bridge is being built by Enterprise Lithuania and Startup Lithuania for the second year in a row.
